Meekadarriby - the moonbeams bath

reluctantly venturing out
wood is worth it
I tell myself.

Entering the chill night air
and the creeping mist...

struck by the rainbow aura of Meeak

Meeak daaribiny... the cave near Margaret River at Ellen's Brook. That cave where those two Noongar koolang saw the moon in the water. Those two playmates fell in love. But she was promised to someone much older and her playmate never fell out of love. He wanted to take her away but was speared, and so she starved herself to death to be with him. Their spirits now inhabit that cave at Meekadarinbee... where that moon bathes... Old Noongar had something against looking at the full moon... some powerful business... magic... but well worth a trip and a look from the wood heap...

:)

Hi Tim, thanks for telling that story.

It felt like i was being bathed in the moonlight - hence a moonbeams bath it was! :))

Language is a funny thing :)

It's beautiful, and my favourite natural energy is the moon. Moonbeams shine on me, feel alive, roaming freely.
