Reflexes kicked in...

Stumbled across this as yet unpublished post from what seems like aeons ago - had forgotten about this shocking incident!

The oddest thing happened on the way home...

Charged with the care of the near dead Brushtail Phascogale (native marsupial)

Cradling the tiny helpless creature on my lap...
all the while sending him love and light.

Nearly home,
just around the corner now,
staring out into the bush,

without warning...
the creature attached itself to a finger with its tiny, but viciously sharp teeth.
Cat like reflexes kicked in and I flung the little guy...
straight out the window of the car...
to the horror of the rescuers seated in the back.

Needless to say he didn't make it despite everyone's best efforts...and someone had to wear the blame :(

Koikoneeruff - place of mystical clouds

You can imagine how it felt seeing the clouds pouring over the top of the hills like waves spilling over... and knowing that in Noongar ways this cloud formation means someone is going to Noitch (die)...

After spending time with the elders on site over the weekend
sharing laughter and yarns
I hoped it wasn't time for one of them to leave...
not when there's still so much to learn

Woke up to magnificence!

vision quest
to listen to the knowledge of the ancients
the record keepers
connecting me to the infinite reality of our being
our purpose, our path,
our sacred contracts made in the space before time.
